ZeenaAbou-Jaoude and her late twin sister Maya Abou-Jaoude founded the Ghana Twins Foundation in the year 2000. She is an outstanding individual with compassion for others, strong determination, commitment and ambition to serve humanity in a meaningful way. She has touched the lives of hundreds of street children, multiple birth children and underprivileged children in Ghana, a passion she pursued with her late twin sister Maya before her sad demise. She is an International Change Maker!

Maya was sweet, gentle, welcoming, loving, giving, caring, supportive, fun-loving, compassionate, committed, selfless, affable, dependable, playful, encouraging, warm, kind hearted, generous and a humble humanitarian. She has touched the lives of hundreds of multiple birth children across the country. Maya was a symbol for selfless humanity, she will be remembered for all the causes she championed and contributed to. Maya’s warmth and generosity, her commitment to humanity as a group and as an individual, her brilliance and unflagging optimism, and her great big heart is the best legacy she left behind for all members. She set an example of compassion that inspired everyone who knew her. She did a lot of charity work and help raised a lot of underprivileged twins from the streets and enrolled them in schools. Maya, was born a star, remained so and even died a gold star. She will forever be remembered.
