WELCOME TO GHANA TWINS FOUNDATION

The Ghana Twins Foundation (GTF) was founded by Zeena Abou-Jaoude and her late twin sister Maya Abou-Jaoude in June 1999.

It is a non-governmental organization promoting the social and economic well being of deprived and needy twins in the Ghanaian society, giving support to the challenges facing parents in raising twins and multiple births. Its objective is to increase awareness of the special needs of twins and advocate for their rights.

 One strength of the Ghana Twins Foundation is its strategic status as the first-ever charitable twin organization to have welfare programs for deprived twins and their mothers in Ghana

OUR MISSION

To enable a change in social policy, legislation and cultural practices in the interest of twins through partnership with civil society organizations worldwide, particularly national and global network of twin organisations to promote and protect the rights of multiple children in Ghana who have no access to education, health care, protection, parental care and justice.

The Ghana Twins Foundation continue to work directly for underprivileged twins and other multiples who are growing up in circumstances of social and economic disadvantage. Our vision is one of a world where, in spite off such circumstances, children reach their full potential.

GET TWINS OFF THE STREET

The Ghana Twins Foundation as part of its campaign to get twins off the streets has been able to transform a number of twins from the streets and integrated them into the main stream of development.
